Gartner has published the 2012 Critical Capabilities and Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management reports. In the Critical Capabilities report, HP ArcSight has been rated #1 in 8 out of 12 categories including Real-Time Monitoring, Threat Intelligence, Data and User Monitoring, Application Monitoring, Compliance Use Case, Threat Management Use Case, SIEM Use Case and Overall Use Case.

The 2012 Magic Quadrant marks the ninth consecutive year that Gartner has positioned HP ArcSight in the Leaders Quadrant. Gartner also points out, “ArcSight continues to be the most visible vendor in competitive evaluations.” The report describes ArcSight as the vendor with the highest ability to execute, and cites our strengths:

  • Enterprise Security Manager provides a complete set of SEM capabilities that can be used to support a security operations center.
  • ArcSight Express provides a simplified option for midsize SIEM deployments.
  • Optional modules provide advanced support for user activity monitoring, IAM integration and fraud management.
